Biography:
Born in Tucson, AZ on September 20th, 1979 at Tucson General Hospital son to Jesus Martin Vega and Darlyne Barnes. Tony "Thee Truth" childhood nickname was the dumpster child as his father would always tease him that he found him there. Tony graduated from Marana High School in 1998 and joined the United States Army were he became an Airborne Ranger earning his tab with class 02-00 in January of 2000. In March of 2002 Tony returned home and began to pursue to straighten out his walk with the Lord. On Febuary 8th 2004 Antonio dedicated his heart, soul and mind unto God. Since childhood Tony has been refining his skills in art 1998 when he got out of the Army he has been writing music, producing, drawing, painting, sculpting, printmaking and in 2006 of April the Lord made known his purpose on this earth. Currently "Thee Truth" has been using his talent for the Lord and is raising money to open up a church for the Lord and continue his calling to do whatever he can to make a difference in this world of sin. Antonio believes "Everything in this world is art, God's art and in order to appreciate art one must become knowledgable to retain understanding about the purpose."
Artist Statement:
Since I was a child I have been practicing some form of art. I create art because I found its another way for me to express my heart, soul and mind through a variety of many different mediums. With the combination of drawing, music, painting and all other forms, my works can be summerized to serving God's purpose that he has for me. I feel that through my art I must convey God's message and inform my brothers and sisters that soon Jesus will come and the world will end.
To call my art work I feel deguises it's meaning, I do what I do because I love it. Not for money, to become famous or a means to make a living but just a practice of my service while I'm here on this earth. In reflection to my love, all my art is me and who I am. My inspiration comes from God, Jesus, soul mate and all my brothers and sisters past and present. God is the best artist ever from the creation of the earth, to all the living things that are contained by it. His love has shaped my art and influenced it as well as David, Solomon, Asaph, and all the artists that God has created.
I see my love in art truly only reaching a few in this world because only a few will truly understand its purpose. From my experiances I've learn that the world is slowly but surely rejecting my art day by day. I would love to have exhibitions in the future and display God's message to all viewers to make a choice before its too late but leave that up to God. As for me I will keep moving forward trying to use all styles and techiques to lead as many as I can to my Father. A artist should expand and never stop growing because perfection comes with practice.
